Bundle Profit Calculator

Enter how many items are in the bundle, what each one costs, the bundle price, the single shipping cost and your fees. The calculator shows total bundle profit and profit per item.

—

A bundle's advantage is shipping: one parcel instead of several, and one fixed payment fee instead of one per item. The calculator keeps that saving visible by charging shipping and the fixed fee only once for the whole bundle.

Formula

Total item cost = items × cost per item. Fees = (bundle price × marketplace fee %) + (bundle price × payment fee % + fixed fee). Bundle profit = bundle price − total item cost − shipping − fees. Profit per item = bundle profit ÷ items.

How it works

Add up what all the items in the bundle cost you, then subtract that, the single shipping charge and the fees from the bundle price. Dividing the result by the item count shows whether each item in the bundle earns as much as it would on its own.

Worked example

A 3-item bundle at $59.00, with each item costing $8.00 and bundle shipping of $7.00. Total item cost: 3 × $8.00 = $24.00. Marketplace fee: $59.00 × 13% = $7.67. Payment fee: $59.00 × 2.9% + $0.30 = $2.01. Bundle profit: $59.00 − $24.00 − $7.00 − $7.67 − $2.01 = $18.32, which is $6.11 per item.

FAQs

Why bundle items instead of selling them separately?

You pay shipping and the fixed payment fee once instead of once per item, and buyers often spend more on a bundle than on a single item. The saving only helps if the bundle price still leaves a healthy profit per item.

Should the bundle price be lower than the items bought separately?

Usually yes — the discount is the buyer's reason to take the bundle. Use the discount-profit calculator to check that the bundle discount does not push profit per item below what you accept.

What if the items in the bundle cost different amounts?

Enter the average cost per item, or add the individual costs together and divide by the item count. For exact figures, use the total cost divided by the number of items as the cost per item.

Does the marketplace fee apply to the whole bundle price?

Yes. The fee percentage is charged on the total amount the buyer pays for the bundle, just as it would be on a single-item sale.

What if a buyer returns only part of a bundle?

Partial returns can leave you with return shipping and a refunded share of the price while the fixed fee stays spent. Price bundles with enough margin to absorb the occasional partial return.
