Work out what a brand keeps from a Faire order after commission, the new-customer fee and payment processing.
Formula
Total Faire charges = commission + new-customer fee + payment processing. Commission is 15% of the order subtotal on marketplace orders and 0% on Faire Direct orders. The new-customer fee is $10 on a new retailer's opening marketplace order only. Payment processing is 3.5% + $0.30 for next-day payout, 2.4% + $0.30 for 30-day payout, or 1.9% + $0.30 for 60-day payout.
How it works
Enter the order subtotal, whether the retailer found you through the Faire marketplace or came through your Faire Direct link, and your payout speed. The calculator applies the commission, the one-time $10 fee where it applies, and the processing rate for your payout speed, then shows what you keep before product and shipping costs.
Worked example
A $500.00 marketplace first order with 30-day payout: commission is 15% of $500.00 = $75.00. The new-customer fee is $10.00. Payment processing is 2.4% of $500.00 = $12.00, plus $0.30 = $12.30. Total Faire charges are $75.00 + $10.00 + $12.30 = $97.30. You keep $500.00 − $97.30 = $402.70 before product and shipping costs. Interpretation: on a first marketplace order, Faire takes just under one fifth of the subtotal at this payout speed, so a wholesale price that works direct may not work on Faire without adjustment.

What commission does Faire charge?
Faire charges 15% commission on orders from retailers who discover a brand through the marketplace, and 0% commission on orders through a brand's Faire Direct link.
What is the $10 new-customer fee?
It is a one-time $10 fee on a new retailer's opening marketplace order. It does not apply to reorders or to Faire Direct orders.
How does payout speed change the processing fee?
Faster payout costs more: next-day payout is 3.5% + $0.30, 30-day payout is 2.4% + $0.30, and 60-day payout is 1.9% + $0.30. The calculator uses the rate you select.
Do reorders still carry commission?
Yes, marketplace reorders still carry the 15% commission, but no further $10 new-customer fee. Faire Direct reorders carry 0% commission.
Does this result include product or shipping costs?
No. It shows Faire's charges only. Subtract your product cost, packaging and any shipping you pay to see your true profit on the order.
